Old Westbury Garden
71 Old Westbury Road
Old Westbury, New York,
Old Westbury Garden was the home of John S. Phipps and his family. There is a large main house which is open for tours and gardens, landscaped grounds, woodlands, ponds and lakes. We were here in October. It happened to be take your dog to the garden day and there were people with dogs of every shape and size. It was also the week before Halloween and some of the dogs were dressed in costume.
The Pond
One of the first things you see when you enter the grounds is the pond.

The Children's Playhouse

The Rose Garden
Since it was October, there weren't very many roses left but there still were a few. It must look really beautiful in June.

The Walled Garden
The Walled Garden was really beautiful. It had a large selection of dahlias, other fall flowers, and a pond with water lilies

Bridge and Temple of Love Gazebo

There was a musician posing for pictures near the gazebo. This would also be a great spot for wedding pictures

The Main House

The Halloween Parade
At 3:00pm there was a short parade up the path to the main house from the area where they had booths selling dog supplies.
